The Art of Burning
Candle burning instructions
Remove all protection and packaging elements against ignition.
Place the candle on a safe, heat-resistant, dry surface away from elements that can catch fire and out of the reach of children and pets.
When using for the first time, burn the candle for a minimum of 2-3 hours. Each time you use them, burn the candles for no more than 4 hours. After each candle burning, it is recommended to leave it for at least 2 hours to solidify the wax.
Trim the wick(s) regularly to a length of approx. 0.5 cm - 1 cm.
If the candle begins to burn unevenly and smoke, extinguish it, wait for it to cool, then trim the wick with wick scissors and light it again.
Keep candle wax clean by removing wicks, matches and other flammable materials.
Avoid burning candles in drafts.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it in sight at all times while smoking.
Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of children.
Tell the rest of your household the rules of safe use of candles.
When the wax has melted down to the walls, extinguish the flame and allow it to harden before re-lighting.
Stop using the candle when the level of remaining wax is about 1 cm.
Use a candle extinguisher to extinguish the candle. You can also dip the wick in the wax for a while and set it upright again. This will ensure the stiffness of the wick the next time it is lit.
Candles are sensitive to temperature and light. Store wax products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or fluorescent light to avoid wax melting, breaking and discoloration.
The room temperature should not be higher than 30°C or lower than 4°C. Do not expose the candle to moisture, which may prevent the candle from re-lighting. Important tip: Extreme temperatures in your car can melt or freeze your scented candle.
